We believe every worker deserves a fair, stable, and dignified wage—without relying on unpredictable tips.

At EndTippingCulture.org, our mission is to raise awareness on current tipping culture, inspire action, and advocate for a shift away from the outdated and increasing tipping system in the U.S. toward fair, transparent compensation included in prices.

Why We Exist

Tipping in America has changed.

What began as a way to reward excellent service has evolved into a social obligation—expected everywhere, often regardless of service, and even in self-checkout lines. Workers are forced to depend on customers rather than employers for their income. Many earn below minimum wage and face financial instability, discrimination, and harassment as a result.

Meanwhile, customers are experiencing “tipping fatigue”—frustrated by unclear standards and rising pressure to subsidize low wages.

We’re here to say: enough.

What We Stand For

🔹 Fair, Living Wages: Employers—not customers—should be responsible for paying workers.

🔹 Transparency: The cost of service should be clear and built into prices, not added on in guilt-driven prompts.

🔹 Dignity and Respect: Every worker, in every industry, deserves financial security and professional respect.

🔹 Policy Reform: We support legislative changes that eliminate subminimum wages for tipped workers and end tax incentives that reinforce tipping dependency.

🔹 Clear Understanding: We are here to assist with a better understanding of current tipping standards and expectations.
